To decrease weight and get rid of obesity three things must be kept in mind: * Controlling eating habits. * Regular exercise. * Avoiding the causes of weight gain Diet recommended to lose weight: * Early morning Juice of half a lemon mixed in a glass of warm water and a teaspoon of honey. * Breakfast Wheat or Mung bean sprouts and a cup of skimmed milk. * Midmorning A glass of orange, pineapple or carrot juice. * Lunch o Salad of raw vegetables such as carrot, beet, cucumber, cabbage, tomatoes. Steamed or boiled vegetables o Whole grain bread or whole wheat chapatis (Indian bread) and a glass of buttermilk. o Roasted cumin seeds, green coriander leaves, a little salt and some grated ginger mixed in the buttermilk. * Mid-afternoon o Coconut water o Dry fruits o Lemon tea o Fresh vegetable soup * Dinner o Whole grain bread or chapatis o Steamed vegetables o Seasonal fruits except banana and apple.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have just found out I have to start an extremely low fat diet due to health problems. I would like to know what the best low or no fat foods are. Also, how am I supposed to get at least 1200 calories per day if I have to eat all low or no fat foods? I have tried to make a list of meal plans, but each one I make comes out to be around 850-950 calories each day. My doctor has given me one month to try this on my own before she puts me on medication for it, the problem is I have no clue what I am doing. Anyone please help me if you can. I am not looking to lose weight, I have fatty liver. If I do not start eating low or no fat foods, I will end up with cirrhosis of the liver. This is not a choice for me, this is a demand from my doctors. Losing weight would be a great side effect though.<br />
Low fat / no fat foods are actually relatively easy to find these days because of all the diet craze.  If you look at the diet frozen entrees you&#8217;ll find that many of them are very low fat, but they&#8217;re also really small portions so you&#8217;ll have to add other things to your diet.  If you&#8217;re looking for ways to boost your caloric intake w/o increasing your fat intake carbs are one way to go.  Adding extra pasta/bread/rice to your plate will boost your calorie content.  Adding a glass or two of fruit juice will also boost your calories w/o adding fat or the fiber that usually makes you feel full.  Finally, increasing the portion size of the fat-free foods will also increase your caloric intake per day.  One final tip: even some red meat is quite low in fat.  Look for venison or bison which are both really low in fat.  Some seafood is lowfat.  Check out this link for more info on which are low in fat: http://www.nyseafood.org/nutrition/health2.asp. Tofu is also a good option.  Eating these foods will keep you from feeling deprived and reduce your chances of giving up on your new lifestyle.  Once you realize how much variety you can have in your diet, it gets easier to manage.  After you&#8217;ve gotten used to how many calories things have and which foods you can have which are zero fat, you will realize that you don&#8217;t even need the recipes any more.  I admit I don&#8217;t always eat what I know I should, but I can tell you pretty much how many calories things have in it because I&#8217;ve gotten so used to flipping boxes over and I learned the calorie/fat content of things I eat often. <p>I have done weight watchers before and I know that it works, but I am looking to try another method without counting points.</p>
<p>I am thinking of something along the lines of 5 or 6 small meals about 2.5-4 hours apart (depending on when I can actually eat, but not over 4 hours). I have a general idea of what would be a good meal plan, but any suggestions would be great.   Also, I am looking to tone up after I lose some weight.</p>

<p>1. You should not exceed 1000 calories a day.<br />
2. Eat foods rich in dietary fibers like fruits and vegetables. It makes you feel full and it cleans your intestine.<br />
3. If you are using canola oil, soybean oil, or other commercial cooking oil. you should use coconut oil because it contain medium chain triglycerides that makes our metabolism fast and it doesn&#8217;t contribute to weight gain.<br />
4. Eat Rice instead of bread because rice contains complex carbohydrates that makes you stay full for a long period of time.<br />
5. If you don&#8217;t eat rice, you should eat whole grain bread.<br />
6. Drink a lot of water.<br />
7. Minimize your sugar because they make you hungry faster and it contributes to weight gain.<br />
8. Eat foods that are rich in vitamin C and B vitamins.<br />
9. Eat curry because it cleans your liver.<br />
10. Drink hot green tea after every meal.<br />
11. Avoid cold drinks after meal because it interupts food digestion, but drinking cold drink 1 hour before meal makes you burn extra calories.<br />
12. Air condition and cold weather lowers our body temperature that our body needs to burn more calories to make our body temperature go higher.<br />
13. Enough sleep. Because the more you sleep, the less you eat.<br />
14 Eat more antioxidant.</p>
<p>I have one recipe here and you will learn a lot from this recipe.</p>
<p>Vegan Fish Flavored Broccoli with Mushrooms</p>
<p>2 sheets of Nori cut into pieces.<br />
100mL Water<br />
1 cup of Broccoli<br />
3 teaspoon of Soy sauce<br />
1/2 teaspoon Peanut butter or 1/2 teaspoon Tahini(from raw Sesame)<br />
4 dried Shiitake mushrooms dehydrated and cut into desire shape and size or 1/2 cup of mushrooms canned.</p>
<p>Procedure<br />
1. Combine water shiitake mushrooms and soy sauce in a pan and let it boil.<br />
2. In boiling water and soy sauce, put the peanut butter or tahini and let it dissolve.<br />
3. Put the broccoli first and the nori(the reason why you should put the nori last is because boiling reduces the omega 3 fatty acids DHA and EPA in the food) and keep boiling it until you get the desire softness of the broccoli.<br />
4. Ready to serve.</p>
<p>Vegan Fish Flavored Broccoli with Mushrooms(peanut butter and shiitake mushroom) = 159 calories(80 calories per serving)</p>
<p>Vegan Fish Flavored Broccoli with Mushrooms(tahini and shiitake mushrooms) = 156 calories(78 calories per serving)</p>
<p>Vegan Fish Flavored Broccoli with Mushrooms(peanut butter and canned mushrooms) = 132 calories(66 calories per serving)</p>
<p>Vegan Fish Flavored Broccoli with Mushrooms(tahini and canned mushrooms) = 129 calories(64.5calories per serving)</p>

<p>This recipe make 2 servings. But for me, I eat 1/2 of this for breakfast because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. 1/4 for lunch and 1/4 for dinner and I eat 1 cup of rice for breakfast, 3/4 for lunch and 3/4 for dinner. I also eat 2 tangerines before I eat my breakfast so that I can absorb the vitamins and minerals from tangerines. so I consume 802 calories every day and the recommended calorie intake in U.S. is 2000 calories a day so I only get 40% DV of calories and that is safe. Okinawans eat maximum of 1200 calories a day and It is just 60% of US&#8217;s RDA and Okinawans have the highest Longevity rate. Why? Because the low calorie diet increases Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and high DHEA levels can increase one&#8217;s longevity. Other is the more calories you the more free radicals you produce because our mitochondria produces more free radical if it burns more calories. Free radical can make the aging process faster.</p>
